Go-Go Bars in Thailand

You’ll find that the girls working at the go-go bars in Thailand are generally much better looking and far sexier than those working at the beer bars. You’ll find this prevalent when it comes down to the subject of the bar fines and drink prices. It only stands to reason as the overheads at the go-go bars in Thailand are a little more expensive than the usual drinking dens around town.

I have been asked several times if there are any Go Go Bars in Udon Thani, the answer is yes. The Wolverine was the only one in Udon Thani until 2015, but it has recently been replaced by the Phoenix Club. It is primarily for the local Thai’s, although some foreigners do venture in, and were made welcome.

Phoenix Club All closed. Go–Go bars are like discos, but only the girls are dancing. They are dancing on a stage and they are dressed very lightly, there is loud music. 

The Phoenix Club has replaced what was for many years known as the Wolverine Go Go Bar, the only Go Go Bar in Udon Thani. It is not in the main foreign visitor catchment area, but is only a short walk away. From Day and Night, turn right and then right again at the bottom of the road. This will take you along the Prajak Sillapakom Road. Walk past the Central Plaza shopping complex and a short walk later you will see the Kasikorn Bank on the right side. Just beyond this bank, there is a five road junction. walk down the 2nd exit (Adunyadet Road). The Wolverine was on the right, just past the City Man gay bar (which has also closed down)
