Thai Wax Castle Festival 2019 : 11-13 October 🇹🇭 Sakon Nakhon province : Thailand

The “Wax Castle Festival” This year is scheduled for 11th-13th October 2019 where each wax castle will be set up for Buddhist worship.

This annual festival is held at the end of Buddhist Lent or Ok Phansa, which is on the 12th to 15th days of the waxing moon in the 11th lunar month. People believe that at Buddhist Lent, Lord Buddha will come down from Tavatimsa Heaven (Sawan chan Dāodeung) to help people away from sadness.
